Winterflood Securities announces the appointments of Michael Hines as sole Chief Executive Officer of the company following the retirement of David Macnamara, and of Julian Palfreyman as Managing Director as of November 2003.

Winterflood Securities Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of Close Brothers Group plc and a leading market-maker in all quoted segments of the London market serving both the retail broking community and institutional clients.

Michael Hines was previously joint chief executive with David Macnamara and was appointed to the board of Close Brothers Group plc in March 2002. Both Michael and Julian were founding directors of Winterflood Securities Limited in 1986.
